The concept of HypnoBirthing® is not a new phenonenum. Marie Mongan, the American founder of the HypnoBirthing® Institute, originated the idea from the observations of an English Obstetrician, Grantly Dick-Reid from the 1920's. His observations concluded that Fear creates Tension which creates Pain. Extreme pain is not a natural accompaniment to labour and birth.
The course celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2009 and has gained international recognition in over 30 countries worldwide.
What is HypnoBirthing® ?
HypnoBirthing® is a complete Antenatal Childbirth Education programme. It is as much a philosophy as it is a technique. It utilises a combination of special breathing techniques to achieve ultimate relaxation; visualisations to enable you to work intuitively with your body; includes techniques to release any fear or anxiety you may hold about birthing; stimulates endorphin release -natures own potent painkiller, and helps prepare you physically, emotionally and psychologically for your baby's birth.
Change the way you view birth and the way you birth will change...
